Testimonials

Jemima Kawimbe

'Hi guys, my name is Jemima Kawimbe and I have a CTH Level 3 Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality. This Diploma has opened a lot of doors for me, so I just want to say thank you to CTH for having such a programme. It actually helps a lot of students get into their career path that they want to whereby they don't request a lot from you. The programme has opened so many doors for me, to the extent that I am actually working in the US now. I got my internship, I finished with my internship, now I have been offered to stay longer because of the good work that I have been doing. So, thank you so much CTH and if you are looking into registering with CTH, the school that I went to is South African Academy of Applied Competence [SAAAC] - that college is amazing, they will open doors for you, they have so many good connections.'

Mpho Mtsweni

'My name is Mpho Mtsweni. Before joining SAAAC my life was in shambles and I had lost hope and faith in my abilities. I was disillusioned with myself and even the people around me. It was then that I decided to join SAAAC and register for the CTH Level 3 Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality. By doing this, I changed my outlook on life as I started enjoying learning new things and mixing with my fellow students. I was then given the opportunity to work in the United States of America, but I still doubted my ability to be successful. SAAAC helped me to believe in myself and I decided to take the leap of faith. This has been the best decision I have ever made. I am now working in the Front Office at a great hotel called Aloft in Dallas Downtown, Texas. I would like to thank both CTH and SAAAC for providing me with the tools to develop and grow. I will forever be grateful to SAAAC - Prestige College as they continue to believe in me and assist me to grow in knowledge and confidence. SAAAC is my family and I will always appreciate what they did for me.'

Jennifer Brown

'I was a student at SAAAC from 2015-2018. I did my CTH Level 3 and Level 4 Diplomas with them. During my studies I fell in love with tourism even more. In 2018, I went to Thailand with the college on a trip, during my time there I started asking questions about how I can use my qualifications to get a job there as I loved it. In October 2018, I applied for a job in Vietnam and thankfully I was accepted. Since then, I've been traveling through Asia - from Thailand to Vietnam, then Cambodia and Malaysia, and I'm planning my next trip to Korea and Japan. CTH has opened many many doors for me, and I'm so thankful that I got the opportunity to do what I love - travelling, learning new cultures, and seeing new destinations each and every day. It is something that would never have been possible without CTH and SAAAC.'

'I appreciated the hard work that Kingston International School puts in to ensure that each student is provided with an individualised experience. My lecturers took the time to make sure no student is left behind during course instruction. Kingston’s staff positive attitude and determination is recognised by us all. I wanted to let my school know how much of an impact it has given me when I studied the CTH Level 4 Diploma in Hospitality Management. Kingston International School taught me how to persevere when I was struggling with my course load and how to perform well for my assignments. With everyone’s help, I achieved and completed my studies well. Thank you for everything!'

'I'm thrilled to have completed my CTH Level 3 Hospitality programme at Kingston International College and I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Willard, who is truly amazing and probably the best teacher. Receiving my certificate is a proud moment, and I owe much of my success to his excellent guidance. I'd also like to extend my thanks to the college management for their unwavering support throughout the course. Though the journey was a bit challenging for me, the constant support and readiness to help from both Mr. Willard and the college staff made it a rewarding experience. I genuinely enjoyed the classes tremendously, and if given the chance to study again, I would choose the same college without hesitation.'

Kaffas Njenga

'My name is Kaffas Njeng and I work as a Bartender at Hotel Ambassadeur Jersey, UK. Cascade Institute of Hospitality (CIH) is an amazing place not only for studying Hospitality, but also in general. Starting with the highly qualified tutors with incredible experience behind them, to classes equipped with the latest technology and the general atmosphere itself, I can say that being there was the best thing that ever happened to me. I gained more experience especially when I went for my two industrial attachments. The first one was at Hotel English Point Marina & Spa, Mombas, whilst the second one was at Hotel Nokras Riverine and Spa, Murang'a. This exposure to the hotel industry helped me gain the hands on skills needed in the hotel job market. The best and memorable part of my CIH journey is that it opened doors for me globally by connecting me to my employer here in Jersey Island, UK. I can say with great confidence that the course I took at CIH which was the CTH Level 4 Diploma in Hospitality Management, not only expanded my knowledge theoretically but also helped me get a glimpse of the industry at large.'

Frankline Kironcho

'My name is Frankline Mutuma Kironcho. Cascade Institute of Hospitality (CIH) was my home for two and a half years. I pursued a CTH Level 3 Diploma in Professional Cookery and this was one of the best things that ever happened to me. I went for my industry attachment at the former Crowne Plaza Hotel Upper Hill, currently known as Mercure Nairobi Upper Hill. During this time, I was able to test my capability to work in the hotel industry. I have worked in Doha, Qatar, at Sukar Pasha Ottoman Lounge (a Turkish Restaurant) as a Commis 1 Chef; in the United Kingdom at Turkish Delight Takeaway; and in Saint Helier, Jersey, as a Chef De Partie. Currently, I am in Kuwait working as a Commis Chef at 295LB Cafe. Indeed am a proud alumnus of CIH and I'm honoured for this opportunity to share my milestones. I'm grateful to CIH and CTH for molding me.'

Mary Wambui

'My name is Mary Asumpta Wambui and I am a Commis 1 Chef Elysian Resort Runda. Cascade Institute of Hospitality and CTH mean a lot to me and remind me of how my journey in the hospitality industry commenced. So far, the ride has been exciting and I love what I do. I pursued the CTH Level 4 Diploma in Hospitality Management for two and a half years. One of the reasons I chose CTH is that the institute sources industrial attachment places for all the students. My first industrial attachment was at Methodist Resort Nairobi , Nairobi. During this time, I was able to apply the skills that I was taught inside the classroom. The hands-on training also helped me in a way that I was prepared and ready to work in the industry. My second attachment was at Elysian Resort Runda, where I am currently employed. This came along after my hard work, self-motivation and my passion. I am grateful to the CIH team and CTH for molding me to the person I am today.'
